• Payment information: Payment details are processed securely by Midtrans. TaksuVillas does not store raw card numbers or full bank account details.
• Communications: Any messages, emails, or enquiries you send to us.

We also collect certain information automatically when you visit our platform:

• Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location (country-level, derived from IP address for currency display).
• Cookies: We use minimal session cookies required for the platform to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and confirm your booking.
• Send you booking confirmations, pre-arrival information, and post-stay follow-ups.
• Respond to your enquiries and provide guest support.
• Display prices in your local currency based on your approximate location.
• Improve our platform and the quality of our villa listings.
• Comply with legal obligations under Indonesian law and applicable regulations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

3. Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Villa properties: We share your name, contact details, and stay information with the relevant villa property to prepare for your arrival and coordinate your stay.
• Payment processor: Midtrans processes your payment. Their privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
• Service providers: We may share data with trusted technical service providers (hosting, email, analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

4. Data Retention

We retain your booking and personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including for legal, accounting, and dispute resolution purposes. Booking records are typically retained for 7 years in accordance with Indonesian tax and commercial law requirements.

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time (see Section 6 below), subject to legal retention obligations.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure server infrastructure, and access controls limiting who within our team can access personal data.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

8. International Data Transfers

TaksuVillas operates from Indonesia. Our hosting infrastructure is provided by Vercel, Inc. (United States). By using our platform, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

We take steps to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection requirements, including through the use of appropriate contractual safeguards.

9. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects when the current version came into force. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
